Chesapeake Homes in Virginia Named Builder of Year by Nationwide Custom Homes

May 12 2008 Family owned Chesapeake Homes in Lively Virginia has been named Nationwide Custom Homes Builder of the Year. Nationwide is a division of national systems built company Palm Harbor Homes.

Chesapeake Homes, a division of Dilday Builders, Inc., has been a Nationwide builder for 12 years. Dilday Builders, Inc. was founded in 1979; the Chesapeake Homes division was started in 1994 and operates in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula of Virginia which includes Westmoreland, Richmond, Lancaster, Northumberland, Middlesex and Mathews counties. The Nationwide Builder of the Year award is presented annually in May to the builder who has shown outstanding performance in the previous calendar year in sales volume, customer satisfaction and promotion of the systems-built industry in their region.

Chesapeake Homes offers single-family homes and townhomes in traditional neighborhood developments and active adult communities.

Chesapeake Homes was honored at the May 8 Nationwide President’s Quality Council meeting in Martinsville, VA, the company’s headquarters.

Nationwide Custom Homes, founded in 1959, has been operating since June 2002 as a Palm Harbor division. Nationwide currently has production facilities in Arabi, GA, Siler City, NC and Martinsville, VA, also the headquarters for the division. Nationwide has more than 325 authorized builders in 15 Mid-Atlantic, Southern and Gulf Region states.
